Gravel (Rail to Trail) : The Gandy Dancer State Trail and Stower Seven Lakes State Trail offer some of the best gravel biking in Polk County. These former rail corridors feature packed-gravel surfaces that wind through forests, wetlands, and small towns, with gentle grades perfect for long, scenic rides. Connecting in the town of Amery, the two trails can be combined for an extended adventure showcasing the county’s diverse landscapes.

Mountain Biking: Polk county is home to outstanding mountain biking opportunities, including the Woolly Mountain Bike Trails located in St. Croix Falls, where riders can enjoy miles of single-track and smooth flow trails or challenge themselves with rocky technical sections set against the scenic river bluffs.
